317 Grade Determination

There are seven Learning Modules (Units) in our course. Each Module will have the same general set-up. Your grade is a function of the following:

Written Assignments: 30%: When you submit your work, I will grade it ASAP. You will see your grade, but no detailed comments. When the Module ends, I will post a document that will detail what I was looking for.

Web Assignments: 20%: When you submit your work, I will grade it ASAP. You will see your grade, but no detailed comments. When the Module ends, I will post a document that will detail what I was looking for.

Exams: 40%: I will grade your exam when you submit it, but you will not see a full summary of what you got right or wrong until the Module closes.

Final Exam: 10%: I will grade this exam after the due date.

At the end of the Semester, I will review your Discussion posts. I will assess the quality and quantity of the posts and assign a holistic grade. I will then take this grade and adjust your average on the above components. There are three outcomes possible for the Discussion component:

  1. Outstanding: I will raise your overall average by 4 points.
  2. Satisfactory: I will raise your overall average by 2 points.
  3. Unsatisfactory: I will lower your overall average by 4 points.
