Essay: Wild Card!

I would like you to pick your own topic for this Essay. What I would like is an essay of around 500 words on some topic that relates to this region (Central or South Asia) that you find interesting. Any and all topics are welcome! Perhaps something to do with the poverty of this region, or the cultural diversity, or overpopulation, or the food of the region, whatever! I once had a student write about moviemaking in India, another about the game of cricket. Use your text, the Web, your imagination. Just be sure the topic relates to the Central/ South Asian region.
